Job Summary
We seek a motivated and technically proficient PLC/SCADA Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of automation and control systems projects across the San Francisco Bay Area. In this critical role, you will assist in designing, implementing, and managing advanced PLC and SCADA systems tailored to various industries' unique requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee PLC/SCADA projects, from initial requirements gathering and system design through installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Develop, program, and troubleshoot PLC systems using platforms like Allen-Bradley ControlLogix, CompactLogix, Modicon, and Schneider Electric. Utilize tools such as Studio 5000 and EcoStruxure Control Expert for efficient programming.
- Configure and deploy SCADA systems, including AVEVA System Platform (OMI, HMI), Ignition SCADA, and FactoryTalk View SE, ensuring high-performance, real-time data visualization and control capabilities.
- Assist in system commissioning by performing on-site debugging, testing, and validation to guarantee the seamless integration and operation of control systems at client locations.
- Contribute to developing Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) using Structured Text, Ladder Diagrams, and Function Block Diagrams to create custom user interfaces that meet client specifications.
- Manage installation schedules, troubleshoot technical challenges, and coordinate effectively with internal teams, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field or equivalent professional experience in PLC/SCADA systems.
- Proven proficiency in PLC programming, SCADA system deployment, and HMI development. Expertise in platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric, and Inductive Automation is essential.
- Experience with software tools like Studio 5000, EcoStruxure Power SCADA Operation (EPO), FactoryTalk, and Unity Pro for programming and system integration.
- Skilled in structured programming methods, including Structured Text, Ladder Logic, and Function Block Diagrams.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot complex automation systems effectively.
- Local and stable work history demonstrating reliability and long-term commitment to previous roles.
